Abstract Expressionism

Abstract Expressionism was a post-World War II Art Movement originating in New York in the 1940s. It was the first American art style to achieve international influence, often characterized by large-scale, non-representational paintings expressing raw emotion and psychological depth, primarily by New York School artists.
