Assimilation

+Assimilation is the process where a [minority group](/wiki/minority_group) or culture gradually adopts the customs and attitudes of a dominant culture. It often involves shedding distinct traditions to integrate into a new societal whole, sometimes leading to a loss of [cultural identity](/wiki/cultural_identity).
