  • K2, Pakistan: ~1-3 deaths per year
  • Devil's Pool, Zambia: ~1-2 deaths per year
  • Mount Nyiragongo, Democratic Republic of Congo: ~0-1 deaths per year (from visitor accidents, excluding major eruptions)
  • Danakil Depression, Ethiopia: ~0-1 deaths per year (from extreme conditions)
  • Aokigahara Forest, Japan: ~50-100 deaths per year (primarily suicides)
