Dentin

Dentin is a calcified tissue forming the bulk of a tooth, lying beneath the enamel and surrounding the central pulp. Softer than enamel, it gives the tooth its basic shape and provides a degree of elasticity. This vital structure contributes to the tooth's color and sensory function.
