Greenwich Mean Time

+Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the solar [time](/wiki/time) at the [Prime Meridian](/wiki/prime_meridian), passing through the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London. It historically served as the world's standard for civil time, before being largely replaced by Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
