Gren Ye Dingus (presented in-game as GREN YE DINGUS) is a secret boss in Pikmin: Green Edition. It is found in the Forest of Hope, behind a green gate near where the Yellow Onion was found. This gate can only be destroyed by Green Pikmin. Gren Ye Dingus appears as a large green cylinder with a smiling face, often depicted surrounded by bombs.
It spends most of its time rolling, which crushes any Pikmin caught underneath it. Its body is made from the same material as the green gate, meaning only Green Pikmin can damage this boss. Once defeated, Gren Ye Dingus drops a secret 31st ship part, the Green Statue, a giant statue of Olimar made from a green gem. Collecting the Green Statue unlocks the secret ending. This part requires 133 Pikmin to carry, meaning every Pikmin on the field must be used to collect it.
