+**Guru Gobind Singh** (1666–1708) was the tenth of the [Sikh Gurus](/wiki/sikh_gurus), a spiritual master, warrior, poet, and philosopher. He formally established the [Khalsa](/wiki/khalsa), a collective body of initiated Sikhs, and enshrined the Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal living Guru. His life embodied divine courage and unwavering devotion.
