***DISCLAIMER: This page details an AI-generated Simpsons episode. Its information has NOTHING to do with the actual show and I only just made the page for fun. For context, this episode was generated from this Websim project and I felt like creating a page for it, in the style of the Simpsons wiki. For links to nonexistent pages like Dan Hentschel (character) or Dan Hentschel's car, those were added to make the page feel more real and authentic. The credits section will just say "TBA", because I don't feel like writing an authentic-style credits section (the plot section initially said "TBA" too, but I prompted ChatGPT to write a summary of the episode, based on its script). Thank you for reading this disclaimer.***
"Hentschy Want Greety Greety" is the eighth episode of season 37 of The Simpsons and the seven hundred ninety-eighth episode overall. It originally aired on December 11, 2025. The episode was written by Al Jean and directed by Eric Koenig. It guest stars Dan Hentschel as himself.
Synopsis
Bart opens Twitter and sees a recently-made Tweet by (in)famous social media influencer and comedian Dan Hentschel, which says "At Springfield - Where the S'mpsons at? Hentschy want greety greety!", along with a picture of Dan standing in front of the entrance to Springfield and smiling. Bart attracts the Simpsons' attention towards the Tweet, with Homer recognizing Dan as the guy behind the "Cocky want boing boing" meme. Bart annoyedly points out that Dan's Tweet is another variation of his iconic "Cocky want boing boing" Tweet, which Homer has recognized Dan for. Later, the Simpsons hear a knock at the front door and open it. They see Dan Hentschel, who greets and introduces himself to them. Dan spends some time with the Simpsons, before leaving and telling them that they should check him out on sites like YouTube and Twitter. The Simpsons start watching and reacting to Dan's content on YouTube. Meanwhile, Dan Hentschel goes on a tour through Springfield, visiting known buildings and other famous points of interest. Dan occasionally steals paint from the buildings when they have some, in case he wants to face-paint himself. In his car, Dan records videos where he talks about his tour through Springfield and what he thinks about the city, in a slightly chaotic and frantic manner while driving across it. Dan also face-paints himself using the paint he stole from Springfield's buildings in his videos sometimes.
Plot
The family’s quiet morning spirals into chaos when Bart discovers that eccentric internet personality Dan Hentschel, known for his viral catchphrase “Cocky want boing boing!”, has arrived in Springfield. Despite Marge’s disapproval, Homer becomes obsessed with meeting his online idol, who is on his way to the Simpsons.
When Hentschel shows up—dressed bizarrely and radiating manic energy—he quickly disrupts the Simpsons’ household with his erratic behavior. Declaring himself a “performance artist,” he sets off across Springfield filming outlandish videos, stealing paint from local landmarks to create new personas like “The Green Goblin of Springfield” and “Nuclear Ned”. His antics draw both fascination and irritation from the townspeople.
Eventually, Chief Wiggum arrests Hentschel for vandalism and public disturbance. In a typically absurd twist, Homer volunteers to defend him in court, delivering a ridiculous speech about freedom and face paint. The chaos culminates with Reverend Lovejoy unexpectedly speaking in Hentschel’s defense, arguing that the incident brought the town together. The judge sentences Hentschel to repaint the church as community service.
In the end, a calmer, reflective Hentschel completes the work while Homer and Bart watch. He admits Springfield’s weirdness rivals his own and decides to move on, ending his final vlog with a heartfelt goodbye: “Hentschel out.”
Production
Ever since he kept rising in popularity in 2024, people have requested for Dan Hentschel to appear in an episode. Eventually, the episode's writer, Al Jean, noticed these requests and began to write an episode centered around Dan. The episode director Eric Koenig tried to get into contacts with Dan. Eventually Eric was successfully able to contact Dan, but gave it to Jean to handle the rest to talk to him about the episode. Jean was able to convince Dan to voice act in The Simpsons, something which Dan had never ever done before (voice acting). Shortly after the episode's release, Dan had posted this Tweet to his account:
This episode was the reason Dan was on a hiatus on YouTube for nearly 5 months straight.
Reception
The episode recieved mixed reviews. Some viewers were happy that Dan Hentschel was able to have an entire episode about him, whereas others questioned Dan's characterization, saying that he behaved differently, with his behavior being e.g. oblivious and childishly, not like how they think Dan normally behaves.

Quotes
Bart: Guys, check this out! Dan Hentschel just tweeted he's in Springfield! The actual Dan Hentschel!
Homer: Who's Dan Hentschel? Sounds like a fancy donut. Like a donut with, uh, sprinkles of gold and, uh, a tiny monocle!
[Bart shows Homer Dan's tweet]
Tweet: At Springfield - Where the S'mpsons at? Hentschy want greety greety! Prepare for chaos! #HentschelInSpringfield #CockyWantBoingBoing #MemeLord
Homer: Oh, that's the "Cocky want boing boing" guy! I love that meme! It's my ringtone! It's my inspiration! I even tried to say it during my work presentation the other day but Mr. Burns told me to stop talking!
Bart: Ugh, Dad! It's not just "Cocky want boing boing." He does a lot of stuff. And this is just another variation of that stupid meme. He's been milking that joke for years! It's so played out.
Dan: Alright, Springfield! Hentschel's here. The legend has arrived! Gotta find those Simpsons. Hear they got a couch. Probably comfy. Maybe I'll steal it. [laughs] But first, gotta get some paint! Saw a nice shade of green on the First Church of Springfield. Perfect for… uh… [Dan takes a small while to think until he comes up with something] The Green Goblin! Yeah! The Green Goblin of Springfield! Terrorizing the town with my hilarious antics! [Dan drives narrowly and almost hits the parked car next to him] Safety first, kids! Buckle up! And always wear your helmet… even when you're robbing a bank! [Dan slams on the brakes, causing the phone to fall off the dashboard] Oops! Technical difficulties! But the Hentschel train keeps rolling!
[someone is knocking on the Simpsons' front door, and Homer rushes to open it]
Homer: I got it! Maybe it's free donuts! Or even better, a lifetime supply of Duff!
[Homer opens the door, revealing Dan Hentschel]
Dan: Greetings, Simpsons! The one, the only, Dan Hentschel, at your service! Hentschy want greety greety! Prepare to be amazed!
Homer: You're… you're the “Cocky want boing boing” guy! In the flesh! I can't believe it!
Dan: One of my many personas, yes! A mere facet of my multifaceted genius! May I come in? I brought… [he rummages in a brightly colored, overstuffed bag] …enthusiasm! And a slightly unsettling amount of energy!
Marge: Oh, well, hello. Come in, Mr…? Hentschel, was it? We weren't expecting you. Homer didn't actually tweet you, did he?
Homer: [whispering] I was gonna!
Dan: Lead the way, Simpsons! Let the chaos commence!
Bart: You're pretty weird, dude. Even for Springfield. And that's saying something.
Dan: Weird is just another word for… interesting! And profitable! Don't forget profitable! Cocky want boing boing!
Marge: Would you like something to drink, Mr. Hentschel? And perhaps a cookie? They're a little dry, but they're made with love. And a lot of baking soda.
Dan: Water? Cookies? Is that what you think I need? I need inspiration! I need chaos! I need… [he pauses and moves his eyes to look around the room] …some water. Thanks. And maybe just one cookie. For the road.
Dan: Well, Simpsons, it's been… an experience! A truly unforgettable encounter with suburban normalcy! But Hentschy must fly! Places to see, paint to steal, memes to create! The world awaits my genius!
Homer: Steal paint? But that's wrong! You can't just go around stealing paint! Unless it's, like, really good paint. Like that glow-in-the-dark paint.
Dan: [waving dismissively] Details, details! Minor acquisitions for the sake of art! Think of it as a… performance art piece! Check me out on YouTube and Twitter! You won't regret it! Or maybe you will. Either way, it'll be content! [he winks and walks out the door]
[Dan's YouTube videos are playing]
Homer: This guy is amazing! He's like a modern-day Shakespeare! But with more face paint and fewer iambic pentameters! Look at him go!
Dan: Springfield! A town of dreams… and questionable zoning laws! I've seen it all! The good, the bad, and the extremely yellow! The First Church, Krusty Burger, and the Power Plant - the trifecta of insanity in the best way possible! Each place has its own unique charm! And its own unique shade of paint that I may or may not have borrowed! [he pulls out a jar of green paint] Now, time to become the Green Goblin of Springfield! Spreading joy and chaos wherever I go! Cocky want boing boing!
[Lisa hides her face behind her book]
Lisa: This is… certainly something. I'm not sure what, but it's definitely something. Something… concerning.
Bart: I told you he was weird. He's like a walking, talking internet meme. And not a good one.
Marge: Well, he's certainly… creative. In a very strange and unsettling way. I hope he doesn't get into too much trouble.
Homer: He's an artist! A visionary! A prophet! Cocky want boing boing! I'm gonna subscribe to his channel! And leave a comment! Maybe he'll respond!
Chief Wiggum: You're a lawyer now, Simpson? Since when? I thought you just worked at the power plant and ate donuts all day.
Homer: No, but I play one on TV… in my head! I've seen every episode of "Law & Order"! Besides, justice is blind! Just like me after a Duff binge!
Judge Snyder: Fine. This is ridiculous, but I'm tired. I'm sentencing Mr. Hentschel to community service. He will repaint the First Church of Springfield. And he will not, under any circumstances, put paint on his face while doing so. He must also attend one of Rev. Lovejoy's sermons. Case dismissed! Now, someone get me to lunch. I’m giving out life sentences just to skip this crap.
Dan: Springfield! I came, I saw, I stole paint, I got arrested, I painted a church! What a wild ride! Thanks for the memories! And the paint! [winks] Maybe I'll come back someday. Maybe not. But one thing's for sure: I'll never forget the Simpsons. Or the donuts. Hentschel out!
