+**Hyperbolic geometry** is a form of [Non-Euclidean Geometry](/wiki/non_euclidean_geometry) where Euclid's fifth postulate is replaced, leading to a unique spatial understanding. Through any point not on a given line, there are at least two distinct lines parallel to the given line. It describes a space with constant negative [Curvature](/wiki/curvature), unlike the flat plane we typically imagine.
