Iridescence

Iridescence is the optical phenomenon where a surface appears to change Color as the angle of view or illumination shifts. This shimmering, rainbow-like play of hues arises from the Interference and Diffraction of light within or on a material. It is commonly observed in nature, from soap bubbles to the wings of butterflies and certain seashells.
