+The Jurchen were a Tungusic people who inhabited Manchuria and surrounding regions of Northeast Asia. They founded several powerful dynasties, most notably the [Jin Dynasty](/wiki/Jin_Dynasty) (1115–1234), and later, as the [Manchu](/wiki/Manchu), the vast Qing Dynasty of China.
