Killing Fields

The Killing Fields are a number of sites in Cambodia where the Khmer Rouge regime executed and buried an estimated 1.5 to 3 million people between 1975 and 1979. These mass graves serve as solemn memorials to a brutal genocide that targeted intellectuals, minorities, and anyone deemed an enemy of the state. The atrocities left an indelible scar on the nation.
