Luddism

Luddism was a social movement of early 19th-century English textile workers who protested against the Industrial Revolution. Named after the mythical Ned Ludd, they destroyed machinery, primarily power looms and stocking frames, believing these innovations threatened their livelihoods and traditional crafts. This act of machine-breaking was a form of Labor Protest against economic hardship and perceived exploitation.
