+Luwian was an ancient [Anatolian](/wiki/anatolian) language, a branch of the [Indo-European](/wiki/indo-european) family, once vibrant across Bronze Age Anatolia. It survives in both cuneiform and hieroglyphic scripts, closely tied to the history of the [Hittite](/wiki/hittite) empire.
