+A **Magnetic Pole** is one of two regions on a [magnet](/wiki/magnet) where its external [magnetic field](/wiki/magnetic_field) is strongest. These poles always exist in pairs, conventionally labeled 'north' and 'south', and are the points where magnetic lines of force appear to converge or diverge.
