The Mesopelagic Zone is an oceanic layer, often called the "twilight zone," stretching from about 200 to 1,000 meters deep. Here, sunlight fades to dimness, too little for Photosynthesis, yet it sustains a diverse array of life, including bioluminescent organisms and vast vertical migrations that link the Surface Ocean to the deep.
