Monophysitism

Monophysitism is a Christological doctrine asserting that Jesus Christ possesses a single, divine nature, or that his human nature was fully absorbed into the divine. This contrasts with the Chalcedonian understanding of two distinct natures (divine and human) united in one person, a divergence that sparked major schisms in early Christianity.
