Northumbria

Northumbria was a powerful early medieval Anglo-Saxon kingdom in what is now northern England and southern Scotland. Formed from the union of Bernicia and Deira, it flourished as a vibrant center of culture and learning, particularly during the "Northumbrian Renaissance" of the 7th and 8th centuries.
