+Old Uyghur was an ancient [Turkic Language](/wiki/turkic_language) spoken by the Uyghurs of the [Tarim Basin](/wiki/tarim_basin) from the 9th to 14th centuries. It is known primarily from a rich collection of Buddhist and Manichaean texts, written in its distinct script.
