Plancks Law

Planck's Law describes the spectral radiance of electromagnetic radiation emitted by a black body in thermal equilibrium at a given temperature. It fundamentally introduced the concept that energy is not continuous but emitted in discrete packets, or quanta, thereby laying the bedrock for quantum theory.
