Richard Wagner

Richard Wagner (1813–1883) was a groundbreaking German Composer of operas, or "music dramas," who revolutionized Western Music. He is famed for his concept of the Gesamtkunstwerk, a "total work of art" that unified music, poetry, and stagecraft, most notably in his epic Ring Cycle.
