Sedna is a distant Trans-Neptunian object on an extremely elongated orbit, journeying far beyond the known planetary region. This icy body, named for an Inuit sea goddess, sometimes reaches the inner Oort Cloud, hinting at the vast, cold expanse of our Solar System's furthest reaches.
