+The **Sheriff** is a major antagonist in the *Madness Combat* franchise, serving as the leader of his [organisation](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Sheriff%27s_Organisation) during the series' early episodes. He was the main antagonist of the *Sheriff Saga* ([Madness Combat 2: Redeemer](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Madness_Combat_2:_Redeemer) and [Madness Combat 3: Avenger](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Madness_Combat_3:_Avenger)), repeatedly being hunted down by [Hank J. Wimbleton](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Hank_J._Wimbleton) for having put a bounty on his head. During these events, the Sheriff activates the first known [Improbability Drive](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Improbability_Drive) in the series, which plunges Nevada into complete chaos.

+After his demise in Madness Combat 3, he escaped from [Hell](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Hell) and returned in [MADNESS: Project Nexus](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/MADNESS:_Project_Nexus) initially as a major antagonist and boss, but later shown as more anti-heroic and even honorable figure, due to him assisting in saving of reality and trying to evacuate innocent civilians. Here, he is seen leading his own faction, the [Matter and Energy Reclamation Corporation](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/MERC), who attempted to stop Hank, [Sanford](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Sanford), and [Deimos](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Deimos) from entering Nexus City and before eventually helping to them.

+Due to the Sheriff activating an Improbability Drive in an attempt to stop Hank, the Sheriff could be considered the overall overarching antagonist of the [Madness Combat](https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/Madness_Combat) series.

+Sheriff Mc is an archetypal figure, a steadfast guardian of [Peace](/wiki/peace) and frontier justice. His legend embodies the spirit of [Law](/wiki/law) and order in untamed lands, a silent protector.
