Therapsids were a diverse group of Synapsids that flourished from the Permian into the Triassic periods. Often called 'mammal-like reptiles,' these ancient creatures represent the evolutionary lineage leading directly to all true Mammals. They evolved many mammal-like traits, including differentiated teeth and more upright limbs.
