Third World

"Third World" was a term coined during the Cold War to describe nations not aligned with the capitalist First World or the communist Second World. These were largely developing countries, often striving for economic and political independence. Though its original geopolitical meaning has faded, the term is now sometimes associated with the Global South or developing nations.
