The Tuareg are a large Berber ethnic confederation, historically nomadic, inhabiting the vast Sahara Desert. Known as the 'blue people' for their indigo veils, they are guardians of ancient traditions and a unique Tamazight language. See also Sahara Nomad Desert Tribe
