+The ulnar nerve is a major [peripheral nerve](/wiki/peripheral_nerve) originating from the brachial plexus, extending down the arm to the hand. It grants sensation to the little finger and half of the ring finger, while also controlling many muscles in the [hand](/wiki/hand) for precise movement. Its superficial path at the elbow makes it famously known as the "funny bone," susceptible to injury that causes tingling or numbness.
