Vinculum

+A vinculum, from Latin for "bond", is a horizontal bar used as a grouping symbol in mathematics and other contexts. It unifies elements beneath it, denoting a single entity, as seen in a [fraction](/wiki/fraction) or to mark a repeating [decimal](/wiki/decimal).
