Virgil

Publius Vergilius Maro, known as Virgil, was an ancient Roman poet of the Augustan age. His epic masterpiece, the Aeneid, profoundly shaped Western literature with its tales of myth and empire. His pastoral and didactic works also remain cornerstones of classical poetry.
