Letter Z on fire
Z is the twenty-sixth and final letter of the modern Latin alphabet. It often marks the conclusion of a sequence or represents a positional depth, as seen with the Z-axis.
The letter Z originates from the Greek letter Zeta, which in turn was derived from the Phoenician letter Zayin. Its pronunciation varies, commonly recognized as /z/ in American English (as in "zoo"). In British English and many other Anglophone countries, it is often referred to as "zed."
Beyond its alphabetical role, Z holds significance in various domains. In mathematics and physics, it is frequently used to denote the third axis in a three-dimensional coordinate system, or as a general variable. It can also symbolize the concept of "sleep" in comics and popular culture, or represent the ultimate point in a progression.
