The Eastern Jin (317–420) was a fragment of Chinese Dynasty that continued the Jin imperial lineage in the south after the fall of Western Jin. Fleeing northern invasions, its court settled in Jiankang, fostering a brief flourishing of culture and power despite constant threats.
