A Morpheme is the smallest meaningful unit within a Language. It carries a distinct sense that cannot be further divided without losing its core meaning. Unlike a Word, a morpheme might not stand alone, like the "un-" prefix in "unhappy." See also Phoneme Grammar Semantics
