The Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC) was the first imperial dynasty of China, unifying the Warring States period under Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Though brief, its centralized system and standardization profoundly shaped future Chinese governance and culture. Its monumental projects, like the initial Great Wall, began a legacy of imperial ambition.
