+Wiman Joseon was an ancient Korean state, founded by the refugee [Wiman](/wiki/Wiman) who fled from [Yan](/wiki/Yan) during early [Han Dynasty](/wiki/Han_Dynasty) expansion. Wiman seized power from Gojoseon, ushering in a new era of prosperity through control of trade routes, until its eventual fall to the Han Empire.
