Younger Futhark

Younger Futhark is a runic alphabet that emerged in Scandinavia during the Viking Age. Evolving from Elder Futhark, it dramatically reduced the number of characters to 16, yet encoded the same phonemes, leading to a period of widespread runic inscriptions across Norse lands.
