Phyllo

Phyllo (from Greek "leaf") is a translucent, paper-thin dough, unleavened and rolled to exquisite fineness. It forms the crisp, ethereal layers of many baked delights, from sweet Baklava to savory Spanakopita. This delicate dough becomes incredibly flaky when brushed with butter or oil and baked.
